Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects from initiation to completion.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, sequencing, and timelines.
- Coordinate and communicate with project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and team members.
- Oversee APM work for Change Orders, Submittals, RFIs, and other project documentation.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, regulations, and safety standards.
- Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing any issues that may arise.
- Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Foster positive relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the project team to achieve project goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field.
- Proven experience as a project manager in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, codes, and regulations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
Compensation: $70,000-$140,000
Work Locale: 50% travel / 50% remote work
Allowances: Vehicle, 100% covered travel costs
Position Summary:
The Traveling Site Supervisor is responsible for daily onsite leadership, coordination, and oversight of construction projects across various geographic locations. This role ensures work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with plans, specifications, and company standards. Operating as the “boots on the ground,” the Traveling Site Supervisor is essential to successful project delivery in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
This is a full-time traveling position, requiring extended stays at project sites throughout the U.S.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the onsite point of contact for construction activities on assigned projects
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, field crews, inspections, and material deliveries
- Ensure work is performed to specification, schedule, safety standards, and quality expectations
- Monitor daily activities and maintain accurate daily field reports and site documentation
- Communicate effectively with Project Managers, APMs, clients, and design teams
- Participate in jobsite meetings and ensure that all team members understand roles and expectations
- Enforce company safety protocols and participate in site safety inspections and audits
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment on-site
- Support project startup, phasing, punch lists, and closeout procedures
- Proactively identify and resolve field conflicts or schedule issues
- Track progress against the project schedule and provide updates to project leadership
- Utilize Autodesk Build and other digital tools to manage daily logs, documentation, and workflows
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience supervising commercial construction sites
- Strong knowledge of means, methods, and sequences for commercial builds
- Familiarity with both public and private sector construction
- Proven experience managing field crews and subcontractors
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities
- Ability to travel up to 100% of the time, including extended stays
- Proficiency in Autodesk Construction Cloud, Microsoft Office Suite, and digital field tools
- OSHA 30 certification preferred; current First Aid/CPR a plus
