The O’Neal School

O’Connor Company completed the construction of a 23,300 sq ft Lower School designed to match the surrounding campus buildings. The structure featured brick veneer walls with metal soffits and trim, metal stud walls with drywall and paint, and lay-in acoustical tile ceilings. Flooring consisted of vinyl tile and carpet.

Classrooms were equipped with cabinetry and smart boards, with all rooms pre-wired for the latest technology. The building was powered by a new 1000-amp underground electrical service, with interior lighting, switches, and emergency devices installed.

The HVAC system included a hot water gas-fired boiler and an air-cooled water chiller, with supply and return piping throughout the building, along with ductwork, grilles, and registers. A new waterline was installed to connect to the existing town water lines.
